E.T.uGuru is the musical project of Luca Capobianco, an Italian DJ and producer from Perugia. Melodic techno and melodic house are at its heart, with one clear intention: to make listeners feel emotion in dance music, too.
His story begins long before his first releases: making music at 12 and DJing at 15. It takes in parties and clubs, the electronic pop/rock band CIVICO 8, photography, and training in composition, mixing and mastering.

Luca began making music at 12, when samplers, synthesizers and MIDI equipment were difficult to afford. He had to work with what he had: the desire to create was already there, even with limited resources.
At 15 he began DJing. What started as a passion found its way into parties and then clubs. Production and DJing became two different experiences within the same journey: creating music and sharing it with people.
Years later came an invitation to make music with a band. CIVICO 8 took its name from a real coincidence: every member, including Luca, lived at street number 8 at the time. Their electronic pop/rock took them to the semifinals of the Castrocaro Festival.
Luca remembers the reception from the audience, jury and other bands with particular fondness. The journey continued at the Rimini Festival, which he experienced as less aligned with the band’s music. Later, as contacts with labels in the Milan area emerged, internal disagreements led to the band splitting up.
After the band, Luca devoted a period to photography, a passion he had held since childhood. He held exhibitions that he remembers as successful experiences: a stage of his creative life in which images took centre stage.
Photography remains part of his story alongside music. Today, an image can also be the starting point for a track, just as a melody, a rhythm or an emotion can.
New software, professional growth and courses in composition, mixing and mastering gave his production work a new form. From this journey came the project under which Luca began releasing music as E.T.uGuru.
The name carries a story of passions and friendships. E.T. was the nickname he used in online communities; Guru is what his friends in simracing, another major passion, call him. Joining the two names gave him the identity under which to present his music.
His musical background grew through the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and continues to develop through new sounds. That journey led him to focus mainly on melodic techno and melodic house.
A track does not always begin in the same way. It may start with a melody, a rhythm, an image, an emotion or a message he wants to communicate. What connects these possibilities is the intention to make listeners feel something, even within the energy of dance music.
Signal Proceed: Transmit // Awaken began with a concept of transmission and reception between wondrous worlds. It is rooted in curiosity about life beyond our own: for Luca, imagining other worlds also means questioning the idea that humanity is alone in the universe.
Coldline, Vector and Overdrive form Transmit, the phase in which signals are sent. Ignition, Lucidity and Ascension form Awaken: those signals are received and answered. The artwork tells the same story through a blue technological landscape and an organic world lit in gold.
Discover the concept of Signal Proceed ↗The released catalogue begins in late 2022 with Sultan’s Kingdom, followed by Ocean in 2023, Serenity in 2024, and Whispered Truth and Beyond Consciousness in 2025.
Twelve singles arrived in 2026, from Halo Afterimage to Neon Rooms (Forgotten Name), including Reflected Pulse and Blackglow Vacancy. Signal Proceed: Transmit // Awaken adds a six-track EP planned for 13 November 2026. The complete release timeline appears below.
2022–2026 ↗Symbols hold an important place in Luca’s imagination. This passion gave rise to E.T.uGuru Sigil 01, the first chapter of a project he intends to continue with further sigils, including Sigil 02. Each will be accompanied by his signature: to him, the signature is a symbol too.
Signature Edition and the Sigil Edition studies explore this visual identity through applications including fabric and embroidery. Alongside the music and symbols is his label, CXO — Club Experience Output. They are parts of a project expressed through sound, images and signs.
